Nusa Penida
May 2024
A journey worth every effort
In May of this year, I took the plunge – literally and figuratively. Together with a friend, I went to Nusa Penida, an island that attracts not only with its beautiful landscapes but also its challenging roads. I'm not a motorcyclist, but this trip turned out to be a great opportunity to learn because we rented dirt bikes. Neither I nor my friend had ever ridden a motorcycle before, and here we were, navigating winding, rocky roads, challenging trails, and beaches that required determination to reach. But who cares – that was exactly the point!
A lesson for the future
The trip to Nusa Penida wasn’t just a time to relax, but also a significant challenge. The lesson in quick adaptation, adjusting to new conditions, and overcoming difficulties is something I now bring into my work in UX design. Just like in design – first, you need to understand the "terrain," then test it, and finally, refine every detail. UX is not just about aesthetics and functionality, but primarily about understanding how to guide the user through the "bumps" and create a valuable experience for them.
